Elevator Pit Water Proofing
Industrial Elevator Pit Waterproofing
The Three-Stage Waterproofing Process
1. Active Leak Mitigation (Hydraulic Stop)
We identify and neutralize active water intrusion points using advanced hydraulic cements and chemical injection grouts. These materials expand rapidly upon contact with water, creating an instant, permanent plug even under high-flow conditions.
2. Crystalline Waterproofing Systems
Standard coatings often fail in pits because they are pushed off by water pressure from behind. We utilize crystalline technology that penetrates deep into the concrete capillaries. This creates an internal waterproof barrier that becomes an integral part of the structure, capable of withstanding extreme hydrostatic pressure.
3. Structural Sealant & Coating
Once the substrate is stabilized, we apply a high-performance, chemical-resistant epoxy or urethane coating. This final layer protects against oils, hydraulic fluids, and salts, ensuring the pit remains dry, clean, and safe for elevator technicians to perform maintenance.
